DataViz Launches Documents To Go Premium Edition
June 23rd, 2008 | by Jibi |
Although we’ll have to wait for the release of the BlackBerry Bold to get the entire standard package with the BlackBerry OS, today Dataviz launched the Documents To Go Premium Edition suite. For those wanting the Office experience from a time-tested solution, DataViz may very well be the right source for you.
However, carrying a price tag of $69.99, which is four pennies more expensive than DynoPlex’s eOffice suite, the initial thought that still comes to mind is “Why?”
It has been argued that a full Office suite is one of those key applications missing from a BlackBerry. However, the quick response to that argument is “Who would really want to edit and create Office documents on a handheld device?”
DataViz has been a leader in mobile Office suite solutions since the early days of Palm applications nearly one decade ago. Not many companies in this sector have a similar reputation and experience to go along with DataViz’s stellar record. With the upcoming release of OS 4.5 for all 8000 series devices, the standard edition of Documents To Go has been included for free, although it currently lacks Sheets To Go, the Excel portion, in addition to most advanced functionality.
We won’t repeat previous posts highlight the Word To Go and Slideshow To Go applications within the beta BlackBerry OS reviews, however we would like to take the opportunity to show you some screenshots of the Sheet To Go application.
