EXCLUSIVE: Setup Wizard 4.6.x on SureType Devices

KickStart
KickStart

Remember when we brought you the first pictures of the BlackBerry Bold’s Setup Wizard? Well we have a few more pictures for you. With 4.5 being released for GSM carriers and all of the hype around the leaks on CDMA, it seems a good time to give everyone a glimpse at what we have to come. It would not be fitting for us to be satisfied with what we have, being as we are, we need something new… something to look forward to while we wait and wait and wait some more.

We just received a few images of the SureType model’s Setup Wizard. It seems that the new look is not just for the BlackBerry 9000, but it is an update for the 4.6.x OS. When you first got your device, did you easily figure out how to import contacts from the SIM? Or how about your first Wi-Fi BlackBerry device - how easy was it to set up that initial wireless connection? Rather than having to navigate through many different icons, why not put it all in the setup wizard? That would make sense, wouldn’t it? Well a big thank you to RIM - the new setup wizard is now starting to serve its purpose. Here are a few pictures for everyone:

Well there you have it. It seems the UI is going to get a bit of a polishing when OS 4.6.x is released. Now its time to keep looking forward to what’s coming next. Skip the OS 4.5 rush and start pining over OS 4.6! Be sure to keep checking back as new information is uncovered
