Just the other day, our buddy the Boy Genius let it be known to the public that he had been running extensive testing on the BlackBerry Bold for over a month. And right after he finished reviewing, he pitted the hardware out of Waterloo against Cupertino’s iPhone 3G. One thing that wasn’t included in the review but was the first thing everyone wanted to see was how the browsers compared. Thankfully, today the Boy Genius posted a great comparison between the two devices browsers.

The first thing that is notable is that the BlackBerry Bold’s browser is a marked improvement over any BlackBerry broswer in the past. The two main issues that hold the Bold’s browser are the inability to show anything to do with Flash and the occasional difficulties rendering a websites format exactly as it would appear on a computer. But that being said, the results are about as good as anyone could have hoped for.

The occasional rendering issues are evident on Cnet.com The flow of the horizontal navigation bar is truncated and the logo graphic isn’t properly situated within the header container.

The inability to view Flash media is evident on eBay, which makes the page look rather bland. (At least it keeps down loading times.)

Anyway, we’ve showed you as much as needs to be showed so head on over to read the article and see some more pics.
