BlackBerryNews @ Bold EU Launch Party

Last night Research In Motion hosted the European launch event for the BlackBerry Bold, and yes, BlackBerryNews.com was there covering the story for our readers!  This high profile invitation only event took place in London’s swanky Covent Garden with headlining band The Feeling who have just returned from their US tour.

We clambered our way past the paparazzi who were hanging around outside and went straight through the VIP entrance where champagne, cocktails and a variety of other treats were awaiting us.

On the ground floor were two discos and a bar with an impressive array of lighting and screens showing the Bold in all its 3G Wi-Fi and GPS toting glory. A shimmy up to the first floor and we had yet another cocktail bar, DJ and a room laid out with fully working Bold demonstration devices for people to play around with (no we didn’t steal one, but we did think about how we could have done it if we were that way inclined).

After a few drinks and a mingle with RIM and European network execs it was time for The Feeling to do their set, and they were introduced by none other than Mike Lazaridis himself, who put in a surprise appearance and gave the crowd a brief hello and his thoughts on the all new BlackBerry Bold. Imagine an Apple keynote speech without all the bulls**t and you get the jist!!!

As the night rolled on the drinks went down, and we eventually clambered our way out of Covent Garden in the early hours of this morning, so we’re a little bleary eyed and it’s taken several coffees just to construct this post!!

Anyway guys, a great night was had by all, wish you were here with us in rainy old London, and Mr Lazaridis & Co - thanks for putting on a great show.  Now get those Bolds to market!
