BlackBerry NewsAT&T Receives Seed Stock of the Bold, to Hold Employee Contest in August in Which the Bold is the Prize

We already know that AT&T has started training their employees on the Bold, but now we are hearing that AT&T has “seed stock” of the Bold floating around. Seed stock — which never normally shows up in the AT&T system unless a release is less than 30 days away — is a small amount of devices that are given to carriers, carrier stores, and indirects so that the product can be given to company reps to replace past devices and train employees.
In related news, AT&T will be holding a nationwide contest in August in which the top reps for BlackBerry activations in each market will win a Bold. And as for a firm AT&T release date and pricing, we don’t know that at this time, but know that it is targeted for September 1.
