After a week on the auction block, the BlackBerry 8220 Pearl/Kickstart listed on the online auction site eBay sold for $1,725. That is a steep price to pay for a device rumored to be released in Canada for $149.00 with contract.

I honestly hope the buyer knows what they are getting into by purchasing a device that most likely will have data services deactivated upon official release of the 8220. This was a major issue with people buying preproduction units of the BlackBerry Bold.

    And on top of that all; it doesn't have a qwerty keyboard layout. hahaha

    The seller had a option of qwerty and azerty layout both so that's not a problem .
