This one is for everyone down south who’ve been waiting so patiently to get their hands on a brand new Bold.

According to a company insider, AT&T will be offering their Cellular Video (CV) services to Bold users at no additional charge so long as they are subscribed to a qualified BlackBerry data plan. (See below.) This means that those who get a Bold on AT&T will be able to watch unlimited streaming videos on their phones any time, any place.

So what stations are included in CV? According to the AT&T website, they are: ESPN, CNN Mobile, Fox Sports, CBS Mobile, WWE, VH1 Mobile, Nickelodeon, Spike, MLB.com Mobile, iFilm, NBC Mobile, HBO Mobile, Comedy Central Mobile, CMT, ABC, Cartoon Network Mobile, The Weather Channel Mobile, and so on the incredible list goes.

As said above, to quality for CV Bold users will have to subscribe to one of the following data plans.

While on the subject of Bold rates for AT&T, users will be asked to pay $5 or $20 respectively for 200 to unlimited SMS, MMS, and instant messages. That’s pretty steep considering that IM programs for the BlackBerry use data and not SMS.

Just before you head off to enjoy the rest of your Sunday, the latest we’re hearing is that AT&T will be releasing the Bold the week of 20 October.

Why the extremely misleading title for this article? "AT&T to Offer Free TV Service to Bold Data Subscribers"

Cellular Video is pre-recorded video clips, not tv or anything like it. Why would actually use the works Free Tv? This is the recorded video clips like Vcast video for Verizon. Have you all ever used Cellular Video?

I have to agree. This is a VOD service, far from a TV service.
  • shaun27612
When is this service/feature going to be enabled?

Will it be available to those of us who have a Bold from a carrier other than at&t?

Is this going to be added to an account only when you purchase the Bold from at&t?
  • Sith_Apprentice
Just call customer service and ask for it to be put on. Its worked fine on my Bold since launch day.
  • shaun27612
Thanks Sith, have you been using it with a MEdia package or free as part of a data plan?

is the bold not selling is self sufficiently enough that they have to promote this service before an AT&T launch? I was waiting for the bold, but now might switch to the new curve.

This document hasn't been released yet. This was a leak. ATT hasn't promoted this yet, it is just available with the right data plan.
  • shaun27612
Just to be clear with everyone, this service/feature is not available yet as part of the BlackBerry Data Plans. As of right now, you will need to sign up for a MEdia Bundle in addtion to your BlackBerry data plan.

Perhaps this will change as the Bold is released by at&t.

I have the Bold, and when I asked AT&T for the Cellular video (I have the Enterprise data plan at $45) they said I would have to pay another $10 per month. How do I get the free Cellular video?
