If this had the Sprint network for voice, it would be a nice deal. iDen for voice just doesn't cut it anymore.

Not bad for another Sucky Nextel phone

All the hype about the "better" Sprint network is bologna if the "better" Sprint network doesn't carry a phone call in remote areas. All you fussing about Nextel's service, DON'T BUY NEXTEL. Personally, Nextel offers the best service (not to be confused with their less than adequate customer service) in my area and I wouldn't have a Sprint phone. Been there, done that, got out as soon as UPS over night would bring my Nextel phone back!!!

I dumped Sprint long ago--most incoming calls when outside my home market went straight to VM. I'm much happier with Nextel. Can't wait to get this new BB.

I think they are going to release the new 8530i on the last race ( sprint cup ) on Nov. 16th Sunday.

Nextel told me the other day Dec. 1.

We were just told by Nextel that they would be out on December 15th. I hope it is worth the wait.

I tried to get a release date and they told me to sign up for the notifcation. I informed them if they couldn't give me a date I would just switch to AT&T. Guess what...they gave me a date of - December 1st. We'll see...
Nextel is not the best in our but I have been pleased with the service. I have Nextel & AT&T - both have "dead" areas but I can't say one is worse than the other.

I just got off the phone with Sprint. They said the the release date for the 8350i is Decmber 15th, 2008. Let hope that's the real date?

Enough is enough! Sprint needs to post the official release date for the 8350...Today! We are all adults here, if they need to push the official date back so be it. Things dont go always the way we plan them and we understand that. But dont leave your loyal customers hanging or they will drop like flies and go with another carrier. I am dissappointed with the way Sprint is handling the release of this phone. My business depends on the PTT and I will wait for the darn thing. Sprint should just be honest and post the release dates for thier phones on thier website. This would clear up all the rumors. If the release date for a certian phone was delayed they could post an update via website. This would make all thier customers happy and the customer service department because they would stop getting so many calls and could refer customers to the website. This my friends make to much sense, so lets hope the rumor of 12/15/08 is right! I love America... If this is the biggest concern we have then we are all truly blessed.

It's 12/08/08 and no new word. Has anybody heard anything new? I talked to CSR and they said no release date is available. Still waiting...

I was informed that only orders will be taken via your local Sprint store on 12/15/08. The phone will not be available at the stores. They will merely place the order for you and have the phone delivered to your home or office within 3 business days. I agree with NevadaScorpion Sprint would have better customer relations if they just post the intended release date on their website. If there are delays, then so be it, just keep us informed.

Another rumor is that the phone will not be released until February 2009. If the phone is not released on 12/15/08, I am jumping ship and getting the BOLD through AT&T. Enough is enough!

I preordered mine last week and was told today it will be here Monday 12/15/08

Forget about Sprint's CSR. I got on Sprint's Live chat again to see if all the CSR are on the same page. One said she had no information and the next said 1/11/08. Unreliable at best.

Just got a confirmation email from sprint that my order shipped and will be delivered at 9am on Monday via UPS.

I can't tell you how much I have wanted this. I work for a high end tech firm and have been laughed at with my 710oi for far too long.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Sprint released the 8350 Curve 12/15/08 at midnight (9:00 pm Las vegas Time). I just upgraded my old PTT phone and ordered my wife a new 8350 Curve BB for my company through Sprint's WEBSITE!!! Its a good Day people. Now lets pray Sprint worked out all the bugs. Sprint released the 8350 Curve BB 12/15/08 at midnight or 12/14/08 at 9:00 pm Las Vegas time. I went online. Logged onto my account. Upgraded my phone and purchased a new 8350 for my wife. Sprint website gave me a breakdown of the cost and then I had them charge it to my account. A few seconds later a recieved an e-mail for confirmation of purchase. It went pretty smooth. I was'nt rushed or pushed to buy accessories by a Sprint CSR. I recommend the online purchase from Sprint's website. Overnight shipping is free. When I get mine I will give a review.

FINALLY I GET A CALL ON THE 16TH FROM A SPRINT REP TRYING TO SELL ME THE PHONE.. HE INSISTED THAT IT WOULD BE ON THE SPRINT NETWORK AND USE THE SPRINT TOWERS FOR ALL TALK, DATA, WEB AND GPS SERVICES AND ONLY PUSH TO TALK WOULD USE THE NEXTEL TOWERS. ALSO SAID I WOULD RECIEEVE THIS IN WRITING!!?? NEXTEL SUCKS IN MY AREA!!!!
