BlackBerry General, BlackBerry News, BlackBerry TipsBlackBerry IM applications – fixed memory leak?

Are you perhaps using a stand-alone Instant Messaging, like AIM, on your BlackBerry, and are wondering where all your free space is going?
A reliable source has informed us that RIM has found and fixed a ‘major memory leak’ – and it was caused by none other than BlackBerry IM applications.
The applications AIM, Yahoo! IM, Google Talk, Windows Live Messenger and ICQ have all been updated to fix the leaks, and according to the source (also known as ‘a little bird’), the memory leak was especially troublesome to those using 4.5 OS, regardless of carrier.
The new version for these applications – 2.1.37 – can be downloaded via your BlackBerry browser from www.blackberry.com/instantmessaging.
