BlackBerry Rumors
Sprint to Carry BlackBerry Bold this Quarter

The good folks at EngadgetMobile, by way of a source they deem “highly credible”, have reported the impending launch of the CDMA BlackBerry Bold, as early as this quarter. The general speculation is that the Bold will mark the retirement of the 8830 from Sprint’s lineup. This rumor is inline with our (sans-documents) report on the “Niagara”. The Sprint flavor will feature EV-DO Rev. A, increased memory, and a UI that reflects Sprint’s corporate branding.

Hit the comment section and share all of your CDMA excitement.

I'll be excited when Verizon has it, not Sprint. No doubt it will launch on Verizon/Alltel too, being they have what like 4 times as many customers or something? Sprint is still losing how many million per quarter despite CEO Dan's nifty TV ads???
  • This is good, because Bold is rock-solid. They better not disable WiFi like Verizon did for Storm. http://budurl.com/storm

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I'm a loyal Sprint user rockin the 8830 running OS 4.5. The Bold is gonna be AWESOME on a genuine, reliable, widespread 3G network like Sprints. Not too mention $99/mo gets you unlimited EVERY service avail (BIS, NAV, sms/mms,web,minutes,Sprint TV/Radio). Best value!!! Best Phone!!! March '09 baby!!!!!!!!

I don't understand the jealousy form the previous comments, get over yourselves and get over verizon, verizon is the hitler of carriers, disabling wifi so their customers have to use their network meaning if they don't have a data plan they can't use data at all so they can charge the hell out of them.
and yeah so what they lost customers because of apple brainwashing people with their blan phone, but try counting the number of people that returned to sprint after using at&t's reidculous network

Good job Sprint keep it up

I've been with Sprint since Oct. 2008 and I love it! I've had all the carriers: T-Mobile, AT&T or Cingular...whatevea they decide to call themselves this year and Verizon...The Money Guzzler Co. LOL I love Sprint. Everything for $99.00??? You can't beat that. I love my blackberry curve but I'm really looking forward to the Bold. I believe that will make alot of Sprint customers happy who have already fell in love with their curve ...It can only get better!
  • Waiting for the Bold
I am a loyal Sprint Customer and I am waiting for the Bold. I love Sprint dont get me wrong, but Sprint has been coming out the some crappy phones. But when I came across this website and heard Sprint is coming out with the Blackberry Bold I jump for joy and said FINALLY A REAL PHONE I CAN USE!!!!

I have to say that it seems as though I have friends who are subscribers to every network around, (t-mo, sprint, verizon, att). I have been a Sprint customer since 2000, and have been very happy. With that said I can say that I have had the most problems with AT&T - and dropped calls with friends. Verizon hadn't been much better. I know that every phone carrier has their moments and flaws. With one good there can be a bad. I am Happy to hear that Sprint might be getting the BOLD! I have researched and compared plans with other carriers for blackberry phones and still have to say that Sprint has everyone beat! Can't wait for the day of unveiling!

I too love sprint and yes I agree they have been coming out with some pieces of bull. I have called to Canada to RIM and to Sprint, and both of themknow nothing about the Bold coming to Sprint. Please provide me with some evidence on where this info is coming from.

    Still holding out?

How about switching vendors? "Reliable Source" on "1st Quarter" was sort of a joke. What were the unreliable ones saying?
