Free app QuickPull offers daily scheduled reboot now

QuickPull is an application designed to simulate a battery pull reset on the BlackBerry, is being offered free by the developer Zaventh Ventures LLC, on Mobihand.com, and now includes the function to schedule a reboot on a daily basis. I’ve been using QuickPull on the Storm for a few weeks now with no issues.

Get the new version 1.1.2 app for free, and check out Zaveth Ventures’ other applications, including message scheduling, from Mobihand.com.

You find that OS 4.7 still needs this?

Why can't RIM fix the stupid memory leak (that has been present since at LEAST 4.2 what 2+ years ago?) that makes an app like this even necessary to contemplate???

Really on a storm with no issues? I find that this does not work all that well at all. When the dialogue boxes present them selves it is very difficult to select one that is not already highlighted. By the time you get it make the selection you want you could have pulled the battery yourself. I think soft re-set just works better and easier.

It doesn't work well until you disable compatibility mode. If you don't do that, its acting like your storm is a BB with a trackball, which is why it doesn't work. Go to Options->Advanced->Applications. highlight Quickpull and hit the menu button. Click Disable Compatibility Mode. It should work much better.

Soft Reset is fine if you just want to do a one time reset, but the ability to schedule the resets for the middle of the night on Quick Pull is a very nice feature.

I agree with David B. Can't RIM figure out the memory leak by now? It's not like it's a new issue. Frustrates me when I'm low on memory because of applications running in the background.
