Application Update: VyMail 0.8.2.18 Released

Joe Krill, the developer of VyMail, let me know that an update is available for the must have add-on to YouMail. For those that updated to the 0.8.2.17 build, Joe advises to update to 0.8.2.18 immediately; the version change-log and features after the jump.

Updates made to the app since 0.8.2.14:

  • Fixed: Excessive network problems
  • Fixed: No application instance error
  • Changed: Removed the “1″ prepending phone numbers when the phone number field is automatically populated on the options screen.
  • Added: Support for trackwheel devices (87xx)
  • Added: Delete/Backspace shortcut key will delete the current message
  • Added: Some diagnostic info to the About page
  • Added: Ability to specify the connection type under options.
  • Added: Volume keys change the volume when playing a message
  • Added: Shortcut keys similar to email list:
    * space – page down
    * shift + space – page up
    * t – move to the top of the message list
    * b – move to the bottom of the message list
    * u – mark a message as read

    When I went to the OTA site, the version I'm seeing is 0.8.2.18. Not complaining, just wondering if you guys heard of this updates features. I'm thinking they will pretty much be like .14s.

    0.8.2.18 is the latest of the app... its the one you should see.
    I just downloaded OTA and got it myself.

    I installed the update of VyMail 0.8.2.18 and it is no longer working...all I see is an empty list although I can go to MyMail and see that I have a message. Please advice as I was so loving the eariler version.

    PS: I have BB Storm with ver.85 OS.
  • @JHF - If you access the menu within VyMail, and select 'About' you should have an entry showing 'Last result'. Is it showing an error of some kind?

    I found that in options I had to re-enter my pin number and then it re-syned and saw the message. However, it does not play either through the BB Storms' handset or speakerphone as it was before.

    so I check my sound aps selected loud then when to mymail > option > speakerphone ... an even though I have tried to ajust the volume key, I can only hear the message as a soft whisper.

    After several battery pulls, it's working perfectly and is my favorite app on my BBStorm. Thanks so much for a truly great application. I think my initial issues were operator errors ...sorry.

    CAn someone help me? I just upgraded to this and i entered in my pin and my number is listed correctly. However, it's still not showing any messages. In my About screen it says Connection Type: Auto
    Last Results: Exception signing in: null.
    What does that mean? Is that causing the problem? Please let me know!!

    Oh, i use a BB curve from T-mobile (4.5 os) with an unlimited data plan.

    i had the same problem with my unlocked 8320Tmobile that i now use on ATT.

    so i downgraded to
    http://www.joekrill.com/vymail/0.8.1.14/VyMail.jad

    and it still did not work. so in the options I removed the 1 before my number and synced a few times and it worked.

    i then tried to upgrade and to try the new version w/o the 1 but i still get Last Results: Exception signing in: null.

    i will stick with the previous version. GL
