Early this morning, RIM completed its update to BIS 2.5 in the Americas, enabling a slew of new features for those of the BlackBerry faithful running OS 4.5 and above. The most noteworthy update is support for HTML e-mail, but there are some other long overdue great features as well.

Vodafone UK has launched the BIS 2.5 service we told you about last week, bringing HTML email to the consumer masses (of course, only available if you have device firmware 4.5 or greater).
Any new accounts created on the Vodafone BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) will automatically be on the new 2.5 ...
