Gemini/Curve 8520 makes its way through FCC; August 5th launch
We’ve long had the Curve 8520 out of the rumor column and into the “just tell us when” column, and as further evidence, the FCC has now approved the 8520 specs. The 8520 is also known as the Gemini. Lots of people are excited about this more entry level BlackBerry, which according to the specs is almost a “Javelin-lite”.
I’m hearing August 5th as the release date on T•Mobile.
The basic specs for the 8520 are:
- Edge device
- 320 x 240 display
- Operating System 4.6.1.xxx
- 256 megabytes of internal memory
- Wi-Fi: 802.11b/g enabled
- 1150mAh battery
- 2 megapixel camera, no flash
- No GPS
