Verizon Wireless recently made its VZAppZone available for OS 4.5 devices. Until recently, only OS 4.3 and below BlackBerry devices could access and install the AppZone.

According to Boy Genius, a leaked internal powerpoint slide from AT&T states that OS 4.5 will be available soon from att.com/bbdownloads in mid-September.

Early this morning, RIM completed its update to BIS 2.5 in the Americas, enabling a slew of new features for those of the BlackBerry faithful running OS 4.5 and above. The most noteworthy update is support for HTML e-mail, but there are some other long overdue great features as well.
